PROJECT HAIL MARY: A Cosmic Leap of Faith

Few movies stick with me and change the way I view life (or the universe), and ‘Project Hail Mary’ did exactly that. A transcendent sci-fi experience that honors its predecessors while outclassing them in both execution and heart.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have crafted an intergalactic odyssey that balances electric energy with genuine emotional stakes. I went in knowing they were the perfect choice for this project, and boy, did they outdo themselves. The weight of its 156-minute runtime is a non-factor; the film is so expertly paced that the hours simply fly by. It’s relentlessly entertaining.

Visually dazzling and deeply immersive, ‘Project Hail Mary’ is a cinematic achievement that sits comfortably alongside the works of Lucas, Spielberg, and the visionary filmmakers who defined the genre.

Ryan Gosling is at his absolute best here and is a joy to watch thanks to his sharp comedic timing and effortless charisma. Grace’s dynamic with Rocky is so superb that they’ve quickly cemented themselves as one of my favorite on-screen duos. It’s a connection that hooks you from the start, making it impossible not to become fully invested in their survival.

Beyond the science and spectacle, the film’s greatest impact was the profound shift in my own perspective. I’ve always fancied the idea of being a loner, but PHM is a breathtaking reminder that even in the vastness of the cosmos, we aren’t built for solitude. Easily one of the year’s most significant films, it demands to be seen more than once—and on the largest screen you can find.

‘Project Hail Mary’ is now playing in cinemas nationwide. Thanks so much to Columbia Pictures PH and SM Cinema for the advance screening invite! AMAZE AMAZE AMAZE!
